A team of Pillsbury lawyers advised SK Inc. and SK Innovation, the second largest South Korea-based conglomerate jointly referred together as SK, in its investment of TerraPower, a leading nuclear innovation company and next-generation small modular reactor (SMR) developer.

The investment decision represents SK Group’s long-standing commitment to carbon reduction. The transaction takes the SK Group one step closer to completing its Green Energy Portfolio.

The deal team included Energy partners Jeffrey Merrifield, Vincent Zabielski, Sheila Harvey and Elina Teplinsky, counsel Sidney Fowler and associate Ashley Meredith, International Arbitration partner June Yeum, Corporate partner Steven Kaplan, senior associate Lewis McCorkle and associate Robert Shoemaker, International Trade counsel Matthew Rabinowitz and associate Zachary Rozen, Tax partners Brian Blum and Harsha Reddy, Executive Compensation & Benefits partner Jessica Lutrin and Global Sourcing & Technology Transactions partner Brooke Daniels.
