Pillsbury advised Codis, a global contract development and manufacturing organization specializing in spray drying, amorphous solid dispersions and advanced particle engineering solutions, on its acquisition of Catalent Pharma Solutions’ facility in Nottingham, UK.
The acquisition expands Codis’ capabilities in oral solid dose (OSD) development and small-scale manufacturing and creates Europe’s most compelling end‑to‑end spray drying platforms. The expanded platform brings together development-scale spray drying, OSD formulation, analytical services, clinical supply and small-scale commercial manufacturing at the Nottingham site with Codis' expanding commercial spray drying operations in Haverhill.
The Nottingham facility adds an experienced team in formulation development, clinical supply, spray drying and oral solid dosage solutions, strengthening Codis’ development capabilities. Combined with the expansion of its Haverhill commercial spray drying facility, this acquisition enhances Codis’ end-to-end bioavailability solutions from development through clinical and commercial manufacturing.
