Pillsbury advised NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, HALEU Energy Fuel Inc., on a definitive agreement to acquire U.S. nuclear fuel processing assets from Radnostix, Inc. and its subsidiary, International Isotopes Fluorine Products, Inc. The assets include a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license, intellectual property and technical materials for a previously planned facility in Lea County, New Mexico, designed to process depleted uranium hexafluoride and extract fluorine.
NANO Nuclear is an advanced nuclear energy and technology company developing microreactors, nuclear fuel cycle capabilities and nuclear transportation solutions.
The proposed acquisition would give NANO Nuclear access to existing NRC-licensed assets and extensive licensing and technical work to support its nuclear fuel operations. Upon closing and transfer of the NRC license, NANO Nuclear would own one of only 10 NRC-licensed fuel cycle facilities in the United States. The transaction remains subject to closing conditions.
