Pillsbury advised Dotdigital Group plc (AIM: DOTD), the leading SaaS provider of customer experience and data platforms, in its recent $35 million acquisition of Social Snowball Holdings, Inc., a U.S.-based influencer, affiliate and referral marketing platform for e-commerce brands.

The investment unites two fast-growing technologies that have traditionally operated in distinct segments of the martech landscape. Influencer marketing will become an integral part of Dotdigital’s product stack, empowering marketers to harness the power of word-of-mouth using their own customer data, according to a company press release.
